Insert a Non-printable CharacterThe Insert Token button on the Create panel makes it easy to insert the following regular expression tokens to match specific characters. See the Insert Token help topic for more details on how to build up a regular expression via this menu.

The Non-printable Character submenu of the Insert Token menu lets you insert one of 10 commonly used non-printable characters. RegexBuddy will insert the character’s escape letter if the regex flavor supports it. Otherwise it inserts a hexadecimal escape. If the flavor doesn’t support any escapes then it inserts the character literally. Non-printable characters can be inserted inside and outside character classes. RegexBuddy correctly handles escape rules inside and outside character classes, which are different for some regex flavors.
